Townhouse

Two-story living, 2 BR, large private patio - $3,700

No available units at this time

Our townhouses are two-stories with 2 bedrooms and bath upstairs. A large living room and dining area are open plan — with views of a private, enclosed patio on the ground floor. Small deck off the master bedroom, and beautiful views of nearby trees. Dine outdoors, read, or cultivate a garden. These are our largest units at 920 square feet of interior space. The patio adds a large area of additional living space. Galley kitchens, gas stove and heat.

This unit is #103 and overlooks some lovely, dense trees, with filtered western sun. This apartment opens onto the loop drive through the community.

Located near the borders of Palo Alto and Los Altos, we are located in a quiet residential neighborhood. The beautiful grounds are a sanctuary from the bustle of Silicon Valley, while still being ideally located for short commutes. Many of the residents practice meditation and yoga principles. Neighbors tend to be respectful of others. It’s an unusual feeling of peacefulness here.

Our Townhouse apartments feature:

  • An open large living room for entertaining and relaxing

  • All wood flooring throughout the downstairs

  • The living room opens onto a large, private, fenced patio for year-round living

  • Large areas for storage throughout

  • Since both the downstairs and upstairs are yours, these units are the most quiet/private of our apartments

  • Convenient galley kitchen with ample cabinet space; views into the living room and outdoors

  • Gas heat and stove/oven

  • Full bathtub and shower

  • 920 sq feet plus approximately 200 sq ft of private enclosed patio

You’ll also find:

  • Large pool, solar-heated in summer

  • The central courtyard is over an acre of open space, ringed by tall trees and quiet spaces for reflection and relaxation

  • Peaceful, walkable neighborhood, and 5 min drive to tons of shopping

  • 10 minutes from Mountain View’s vibrant downtown Castro Street - 50+ restaurants in the pedestrian-only downtown

  • Near Caltrain's San Antonio stop, Stanford, Google, and much more

  • Many residents have lived here a long time. This is a stable, friendly community, both in the apartments and in the surrounding residential neighborhood

  • Walkable, safe neighborhood day and evening

  • No pets except cats

  • No A/C, EV charging, dishwashers

Truth-in-advertising:

  • We are a beautiful, older apartment complex, built in the 1960s and lovingly maintained.

  • Our units may not be as large as other apartments, but we have generous deck and patio spaces that allow extended living space into the outdoors.

  • We don’t have many of the newer amenities you can find elsewhere (A/C, dishwashers, EV, etc).

  • Even though there is no installed A/C, we have many shade trees to help with heat. Still, if you are on the 2nd floor and it’s hot outside, you will notice. Some tenants have purchased portable A/C which work beautifully, and are MUCH quieter than traditional A/C. Nearly every night of the year, we are fortunate to have cool air flow; leaving windows open at night nearly always is everything needed to sleep in a cool, refreshing environment.

  • We have convenient, simple galley kitchens with good cabinet space. Some apartments have upgraded cabinets, but most are old-style. Fixtures and fridges are updated. Countertops are linoleum.

  • No pets allowed except cats (with insurance to cover damage).

  • No smoking of any substance anywhere on the property.

  • We do have children here and a lovely pool. This means noise during the summer pool season. If you live near the pool or on the main courtyard, you will hear them. There are some quiet periods, too, for lap swimming. If you don’t love the sounds of happy children at pools, let us know, and we'll let you know which apartments hear no pool noise. We have a bunch!

  • Our 1 bedrooms and studios are in Buildings 2 and 5, which run parallel to the Caltrain line. Happily, trains are all-electric now, and the noise impact is fairly minimal.

  • We are also near Central/Alma, but the traffic is a fairly quiet swoosh, and not heard on the living room side at all.

  • The whole neighborhood, including Caltrain and Central, becomes virtually silent at night. It’s a surprisingly great place to sleep soundly.

  • Because our buildings are older, noise will be heard between apartment walls. Expect to hear the noise of daily living. Most of our residents are quiet and considerate, and usually, noise issues are resolved among neighbors and by management.

  • Our outdoor and communal spaces are shared with Ananda Church, which holds the Master Lease to this Apartment complex and property. (This is why many folks here are meditators; they are active with Ananda). Ananda periodically hosts events and group gatherings in the courtyard, such as a July 4th picnic and games, chanting, graduation events for Ananda schools, banquets, or weddings. These events are usually open to everyone. There are occasionally other Ananda Church activities taking place in the community courtyard such as music, play rehearsals, or athletics. These activities can sometimes be a little noisy. But they are relatively infrequent. Again, if you are concerned about noise, there are many units that are not on the main courtyard. Just inquire.
